FAQ's for ResponseCard® SDK

What can I do with the ResponseCard SDK?

The ResponseCard SDK API specifically gives the developer access to our USB RF Receiver through the USB port of any PC, Mac or server. The audience responds to the presenter by pressing selections on the ResponseCard RF keypad, labeled one through 10. Only two items are sent to the receiver: the ID number associated with the ResponseCard and the button pressed. The application developed through the API will take the two items from the receiver and manipulate it for display, store it for comparison, provide reports or compare it with other received data for that user.

Developers will be able to control factors including when the RF channel is open to receive votes from the ResponseCards, when the channel is closed to stop polling and the channel number that receives votes from the ResponseCards. With our new, enhanced features, the API can also be used in conjunction with our robust ResponseCard NXT. Our newest keypad, the ResponseCard NXT provides for cell-phone style text entry with a variety of question types and offers two modes for presentation and testing. The API is available in Java, .NET and Flash.
