Turning Technologies, LLC Succeeds in Global Expansion

Multilingual Support for TurningPoint®, Interactive PowerPoint® Software

June 7, 2006, Youngstown, OH - Turning Technologies, LLC, a leader in the audience response industry, is expanding its dedicated international distribution efforts into more than 33 countries. The company has entered into strategic alliances with third party global brands and is leveraging these relationships to increase global market penetration. A sample of national distribution partners for Turning’s audience response technology include Canada, Mexico, Brazil, United Kingdom, France, Benelux, Malaysia, and Singapore.

 

Turning Technologies has experienced rapid growth in the domestic US market in the last three years. During that time, the company has seen significant success by partnering with two successful international distributors in Australia and the United Kingdom.

To build on these successes, Turning began a major dedicated focus on developing their global presence on January 1, 2006. To lead the expansion into international markets, they appointed Richard Neal as Vice President of International Distribution. Richard is based in Turning’s new UK-based international office in London, England.

“We intend to achieve what no other audience response company has done – create a multinational distribution channel with a multilingual product,” Richard stated. “Turning Technologies is focused on developing strong relationships with quality partners and on building a series of successful global channels. We are well on our way to meeting our expansion goals for 2006.”

Mike Broderick, Turning Technologies, LLC, President/CEO elaborated, “Traditionally, foreign exports have represented over 10% of our revenues. Our major global focus in 2006 is a major step towards our ultimate goal of achieving nearly 50% of our sales and remarkable growth overseas. Appointing Richard Neal as our VP of International Distribution, establishing our international headquarters in the U.K., and translating our technology into foreign languages are key steps in achieving this goal.”

Intent on being a global leader, the company has adapted TurningPoint, their audience response software, to support multilingual customization. Localized language versions that will be available with the next TurningPoint minor release include Spanish, French, Dutch, Portuguese, Japanese, and South Korean. Additional languages will follow shortly thereafter. The number of countries with interest in TurningPoint’s response technology continues to increase, and Turning Technologies intends to meet the needs of its customers.

Turning Technologies has also targeted strategic alliances with complimentary products and OEM arrangements. These strategic alliances have and will continue to give the company immediate market penetration and awareness. With the foundations for their export strategy now laid and continued negotiations with other successful international partners, Turning Technologies global presence will only continue to grow.
