Meeting Planners International Integrates TurningPoint into World Education Congress
More Than 3500 Conference Attendees to Benefit fromJuly 25, 2007, Youngstown, OH——Today, Turning Technologies, LLC announced the large-scale integration of their flagship TurningPoint audience response solution into Meeting Planners International’s (MPI) upcoming World Education Congress (WEC) conference in Montreal, Quebec on July 28—31, 2007.Every WEC attendee will receive a light-weight ResponseCard® keypad at registration for use throughout the conference keynotes and sessions. Conference coordinators are implementing Turning’s response technology to engage their attendees and quickly gather valuable data. TurningPoint software, in conjunction with ResponseCard keypads, creates a wireless audience response and voting system that enables trainers and presenters to engage their audience as well as develop and administer real-time assessments of participants from within Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentations. Turning Technologies offers rental services for any size event from small teams and trainings to large-scale conferences and national sales meetings as well as direct purchase of their audience response technology. At the end of each of the 128 conference sessions, participants will be asked to complete a short session evaluation. Traditionally, these evaluations are done through paper-based surveys. However, using TurningPoint to gather this data will produce time and cost savings as the evaluation results are immediately available in electronic format for distribution and analysis. In addition, TurningPoint and ResponseCards will be used in other ways throughout WEC. Interactive polling kiosks will be set up throughout the conference venue to gather additional thoughts and opinions from conference attendees. Over 100 conference presenters will also have the option of creating interactive presentations to poll audience members’ opinions and to assess understanding of presented materials. “Response technology has been used in meetings and events for some time. Our partnership with MPI will allow us to showcase the added unique capabilities afforded by Turning’s products. In particular, participants will see how TurningPoint ResponseCards can make an entire meeting experience much more interactive than was previously possible. MPI is a great organization with great membership. We are pleased to partner with them during this very important world congress.” said Mike Broderick, Turning Technologies, CEO.
