Cleveland Clinic's Medical Innovation Summit Uses TurningPoint

Youngstown, OH - (December 8, 2008) - Turning Technologies has blended an innovative learning opportunity with a notable cause as their interactive presentation software, TurningPoint, was utilized at the 2008 Medical Innovation Summit hosted by the Cleveland Clinic November 10 - 12 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Turning Technologies' signature product, TurningPoint®, is a wireless audience response application that engages audiences while increasing participant interaction and retention. Presenters are given the ability to conduct polling, formative assessments and surveys that allow every audience member the ability to send real-time responses using ResponseCard® keypads. In addition, TurningPoint gives the presenter the freedom to incorporate their own content suitable for various meetings, conventions, training sessions and more.

Cleveland Clinic Innovations (CCI) works to turn the breakthroughs of creative physicians and researchers into lasting patient benefits. As the Clinic's venturing arm, CCI strives to create an environment where all are able to actively contribute to new medical inventions and products. CCI has had great success in establishing new companies due to their ability to develop new technology, creating 200 new inventions in the last twelve months. The 2008 Medical Innovation Summit was an opportunity to showcase such medical innovations as well as discuss emerging procedures, therapies and diagnostics. This year, the summit focused on the areas of urology and gynecology.

Key speakers incorporated TurningPoint response systems to engage audiences and gather feedback during the summit. Medical experts from CR Bard and Johnson & Johnson applied response technology to ask topic-driven questions and review polling results using demographic comparison slide features. After each speaker's lecture, the audience was asked to rank the presentation using a Likert scale.

"The medical market has quickly adopted our response technology for CME conferences, residency training programs and department meetings," explained Tod Burkert, Vice President of Professional Sales. "The use of our product during the Cleveland Clinic Medical Innovation Summit only helps further our claim that response technology is not limited to one specific market. We're seeing a strong increase within our medical division and it seems that more and more experts in the field are picking up on our concept and seeing the lasting benefits it creates within their organization."
