Question and Answer with Regional Innovation Award Winner, Jeffrey Stowell
Q. How do you intend on using your complimentary TurningPoint Kit?
To replace the IR keypads that I was using in my class for moment-to-moment polling during class debates.
Q. What does this award mean to you?
It means I'm doing something unique that other people have recognized as worthwhile. Of course, that pleases me.
Q. How has TurningPoint changed your teaching environment?
It has created an opportunity for every student to have an equal voice in the classroom. It has also given me the opportunity to ask questions and find out what students are thinking without having to guess.
Q. Please provide a brief quote regarding your acceptance of the Award.
I'm very grateful to receive the award and I thank my students for allowing me to use them as my test subjects.
Also, special thanks to Brian Formiconi and John Hooker who were recognized as finalists for the Regional Innovation Award.
