Drs. Conor MCLennan and David Perry, proud professors who call Northeast Ohio home, will speak from experience and provide tips to enhance the teaching and learning environment. Dr. MCLennan is an associate professor of Psychology and director of the Language Research Laboratory at Cleveland State University. He’ll discuss ways to apply research findings from cognitive psychology to teaching and learning and best practices to encourage active participation through the use of audience response. Representing the University of Akron, Dr. Perry is a Professor of Chemistry and has come to know and rely on interactive audience polling to enhance student achievement in his undergraduate classes. In particular, he’ll elaborate how interactive response systems support a flipped classroom by enabling daily testing and active learning.
