Our Youngstown, Ohio, office was bustling with even more activity than usual as we played host to our entire Higher Education sales team. From Dec. 12 through Dec. 14, they had the chance to reconnect, learn more about our upcoming product roadmap and sharpen their knowledge of what higher education professionals need from our technology.
“I think especially when we have reps based in the field, it’s good to bring them all in to collaborate with each other,” said Senior Director of Higher Education and Publisher Sales Barry Gromada. “They can hear success stories, hear some struggles people might be having and just really learn from each other.”
According to Barry, the highlight of the three-day meeting was the opportunity to hear directly from instructors who use our solutions in the classroom. They met extensively with the sales team and others at the company to give insight into their experiences with TurningPoint student response systems and to share their suggestions for making both the client experience and the product even better.
“The team got the most out of hearing from our clients, what they enjoy about our solutions [and] even some of the troubles they have had,” he said. “Things like that I would say have been the biggest takeaways.”
The clients represented a range of disciplines including linguistics, economics and biology. Barry indicated that their feedback not only gave everyone a better understanding of what instructors need, but also inspired ideas for new approaches to collaborative learning events and client support that the team cannot wait to implement.
